Forest Warrior knitting pattern instructions

Here’s something for all you knitting enthusiasts or for you who are just dreaming of knitting your first knitted sweater – here in the north we knit with needles, even though it’s a knitting pattern.

The inspiration for the Forest Warrior knit comes from both our most forest-like product, Spruce sprout powder, and the superb quality wool yarns from Isokummun kehräämö, of which the natural black truly shines in this knit! This is an easy knit for beginners, with no long yarn runs in the patterns and the maximum number of yarns carried per round is two at a time.

The pattern includes sizes S-XXL:

The finished knit’s chest circumference is 83-90-100-107-115 cm.
The sweater is knitted in the round from the bottom up.
Gauge: 17×22 sts = 10x10cm.
The model is fitted, with Sanja modeling size S at 170cm tall in the image.
If you prefer a looser fit, then opt for a size larger.
The pattern also suits a gauge of 16×20 sts = 10x10cm, with size S chest circumference at 87.5cm and XXL at 122.5cm.

If you like a longer sweater style, please reserve 100g-130g more of the base color!

Supplies:
4.0 double-pointed needles
4.0 circular needles 40cm
4.0 circular needles 80cm (S-M) or 100cm (L-XXL)
Yarns: Finnish sheep black tex 180×3, S 500g, (M 500g), L 550g, (XL 600g), XXL 630g.
All pattern colors: dyed Finnish sheep wool tex 180×3 aqua and amazon green in each size 80g and Finnish sheep white tex 180×3 50g.
